The Power of Giving

When I tell people about this upcoming mission trip and let them know that it would be great if they could contribute to the funding needs, I am sometimes asked, "How much would you like me to give?"
That is a hard question for me to answer.  I guess I should reply, "Do you have a spare $50k for the van?"  God has no problem answering that questions.  His instructions were plain and simple: we are to give the first 10% of our income to the church.  (Please let Pastor Stan Grant of Clover Hill Assembly of God know that I heard his sermons from the past two Sundays.  He is in a series titled Pleasing Faith.  You can view the sermons by going to the Clover Hill Assembly of God's web site and clicking the media tab, then the message tab.  The church's web site is:  www.cloverhillag.com  Or, the direct link to the sermons: http://www.cloverhillag.org/index.php?/media/messages

Here is an idea of how monies can be used on our mission trip, or even by Seeds of Hope, Brazil.  This is a listing provided by Roberto to give us an idea of things be may be working on.  It also provides some insight on the needs and efforts that Seeds of Hope, Brazil have in providing help to the orphans in Sao Paulo.
