I have been telling people to read this blog and to post comments. Over the weekend, I realized that I had the blog setting where only people with permission could post comments. My bad. It is now opened up so anyone can make a comment. You just need to provide a verification by copying the code posted.
I feel like the blogger is the movie Julia and Julia where she is writing the blog about preparing all the Julia Child's recipes and no one was posting any comments. At one time she posted the blog:
"IS ANYONE OUT THERE?"
I am sure as we get underway on the trip there will be comments posted. I encourage you to pass along to your friends about our efforts and this blog. Networking has tremendous power. When our Lord as on this earth, there were no phones, no faxes, to radio, no television, no telegraph (oh, we don't have them now either), no cell phones and no Internet. Yet, the message of Christ was spread throughout the land. Not by technology, but, through personal networking. Technology is a tool, not the method. Evangelism through mission trips is an extension of that personal networking. We are going down to Brazil to do a little physical work and transport a few gifts. That is the short term goal. The long term goal is to extend the social network and build personal connections with the efforts there. The primary vision of course is to help spread the Message of Christ to those lost and in need.
